BioCote Step into the Flooring Sector
In direct response to customer demand for cleaner, safer and more hygienic environments, flooring specialist BioGuard (Europe) Ltd has turned to the experts in silver ion antimicrobial technology, BioCote Ltd, for an industry-leading solution.
The bacteria-busting partnership will enable flooring companies to manufacture their products with built-in BioCote® protection for the first time and benefit from a wide range of support services.
Quality resin surfacing manufacturer Addagrip will be the first to add the silver ion antimicrobial technology to its epoxy flooring coatings, decorative finishes and self-smoothing screeds at the time of manufacture, providing lifetime protection against the growth of bacteria, fungi and mould. The new antimicrobial flooring systems will be targeted at healthcare environments fighting the ‘superbug’ MRSA as well as food and catering establishments, to help combat E.coli and Salmonella.
