Rosti continue to receive enquiries from customers, existing and new, for antimicrobial performance to their products. Enquires have come from a wide range of markets and end applications where bacterial growth and cross contamination are a concern such as white goods interiors, kitchen appliances, medical and healthcare devices.
Rosti are now able to offer customers the benefit of antimicrobial performance through a partnership with Biomaster. Biomaster is the leading range of silver based antimicrobial additives that can be applied to all polymer types; once incorporated into a moulding Biomaster prevents the growth of bacteria and becomes an integral part of the product, no matter how much wear and tear the product goes through; Biomaster is always there providing antimicrobial protection.
Mouldings incorporating Biomaster are tested to ISO standards which are recognised worldwide; over 2000 products have been tested with typical results showing a 99.99% reduction in bacteria over a 24 hour period. Biomaster has also been demonstrated to provide an extremely fast reduction of bacteria on polymers in timed tests. Results show a reduction of over 80% in the first 15 minutes and over 94% within half an hour. |
