BioCote Ltd introduces detection system to demonstrate tangibility of BioCote® technology
As the market leader in providing antimicrobial protection, BioCote Ltd has introduced a simple system to detect the presence of BioCote® technology in a product or material. The system is called the BioCote® Detection System (BDS).
Antimicrobial technology has always been a hard concept to comprehend, due to its invisibility to the naked eye. The BioCote® Detection System adds tangibility to the antimicrobial properties of BioCote® protected products, by making the technology visible by simply shining a laser pen at the surface.
The BioCote® Detection System can be incorporated into any BioCote® additive without changing the properties or appearance of the product. BioCote® additives containing BDS are detected as they cause a low power laser to shine green when it is directed onto the material of interest.
The BioCote® Detection System has a number of important uses for both manufacturers and their distributers. For companies who wish to implement best practice in quality control standards, BDS can be used on the production line to verify the presence of BioCote® quickly and easily. The BDS is also an ideal tool to help prevent counterfeit technologies and can be used by the end customer to demonstrate that products are BioCote® protected.
